I don't think you have your facts right, but thanks for the email. If you haven't looked around lately, we're having a tough time and we should be willing to listen to anything that might eventually allow us to refurbish a stadium that is in desperate need of fixing up or to build a new stadium on the campus of the new CHS.

Dear Mr. Brazell:
I only got what was given and what I heard on the radio show. I apologize if I heard or got something wrong.
What are the facts? I know you explained that we could get 50 advertisers to pay $100 to advertise on the PC jumbotron and raise $50,000.00. When I attend CHS 50 X 100 = $5,000.00. Keep in mind the business's are hit hard too. They are doing less and less advertising. Can you give me some facts? I know we are hard hit by the economy as any other school. I have been in involved in CHS Athletics for over 35 years until I became disabled. I help raise over $200,000.00 for the Boosters with some of my ideas.
I also know we do not need one man turning off the lights in schools when we have teachers with eyes in every classroom. Each school can form a three person team to look at savings within their own school and report it to you. You can purchase electronic light switches at a reasonable price that will shut off the lights when no one is in a room. Then you can put that person back in a classroom who is walking the halls looking for ways to save power. Are there any coaches on the committee looking at new ways of saving for the athletic department? I would like to help if I can.
Sincerely,

Dear Sir:
I am appalled that this is even being considered (see below) by the school district 56 and administration. To take us back like it was 60 years ago is wrong! I believe the citizens and taxpayers will not allow this to happen. There should be a public hearing on this matter, ASAP! This could be against the law to use taxpayers' money for this. It will be checked out. Clinton High Football and it's stadium makes up a tradition that put this town on the map. It kept kids in school. It molded young men into role models. It taught young men more than just the game of football. Clinton High fans deserves to have input into this matter!!

Recruit,
PC folks came over and made a few remarks that were worth looking into - they did a lot of research on the Wofford /Spart. 1 deal. I told them I would form a committee. There were no obligations, no promises, but I hate that folks are getting upset about just looking into the possibility. I don't think it would work, but it also could turn out to be something that the community might embrace if they had all the facts. In my mind if it something happened it would be short term to earn funds for a new stadium. You're right about the math - that's what I get for trying to think on my feet. The real possibility might be grants that would allow the CHS stadium to be part of a shared building project with the city, PC, and the district. That's how Wofford stadium was built and since the PC stadium is not in the shape ours is - it might open up funds. We won't know until we look into it, but I would not be doing my job if I didn't investigate things that might turn out to be a windfall for the district.
Thanks for the nice response. I hate I've upset some folks, but we have made no promises to the PC folks other than to listen with a community representative group.

Dear Red Devil Fans:
Clinton High School Administration wants to purchase lights for PC's new field to the tune of about $600,000.00 and then let us use their field for our home games. AKA Spartanburg/Wofford. People it's NOT about the money, nor the present day staff that's in place. It's about Pride, Tradition, and the blood, sweat and tears playing in our own backyard (Richardson Field) that made Clinton Red Devil Football what it is today! We do not want to lose the most positive thing in our own school district.
